We finally made it to the MBW solo exhibit, Life is Beautiful. We tried on opening night, but the line was just too long. Be sure to check out some pictures below.

Thanks to Yokee77 for the review.
The Life is Beautiful exhibit was a genuinely fun experience. Some pieces were playful and some were so original, you could not stop admiring them. I do not think I smiled and chuckled as much as I did at any other exhibit.
For instance, Mr. Brainwash had a whole room full of faded old-fashioned family portraits that included one or two members in superhero garb. How absurd and hilarious! What about the humungous Hotwheels motorcycle in its original packaging?
I loved the large painting of Billy Holiday bursting with bright colors and bold brush strokes. I stared at it for a long long long time because it was so mesmerizing.
I couldn't believe how perfectly fitted broken pieces of records created portraits of rock stars. That was incredible.
On the way up to the second floor there were pieces by Revok, Saber and Retna. Mind-blowing!
From the second floor you can see a cop car covered in graffiti with the siren lights flashing (without the noise) and large Elvis pictures. Oh, and an enormous robot made out of stacked TV sets.
A must see! Go see for yourself.
