Cap Test - New York Thin

The New York Thin Cap (NY Thin) is the go to cap when you want to make sharp thin lines. This cap is almost guaranteed to work on any type of spray can. So when other caps do not work on a particular type of can, the New York thin always comes to the rescue. It is great for outlines and detail work. You may not get as thin lines as with some other thin caps but it will also clog much less frequently.



The only drawback is the comfort. Where other fancy caps come in a wide comfortable top, the New York Thin Cap has a narrow top which makes it a bit uncomfortable if used for long periods of time.

The New York Thin cap works on the following spray paint brands: Krylon, Montana Hardcore, and Rustoleum. I have tried it on a cheap Osh brand and it works great on it as well. Accoring to Oink Art's video, the cap does not work on Belton Molotow it just sprays on its own. I have tried the New York Thin cap on a can of Ironlak before with success but according to the video it does not work so to play it safe, you may want to avoid this cap on Ironlak.
