Sometimes you just have to climb to get really visible spots. These are some recent graffiti pictures from Los Angeles. Some have been up for a long time like the Ozer + Atlas spot, some are newer. But as of now, they are all up, none are buffed. Augor MSK + Pharoe LCF SOB
Forget about being busted, you can easily get killed painting at these freeway spots. These are recent pictures of graffiti on the Los Angeles freeway system. Note to the city: Quit buffing, it ain't working! Cat Cult - Pasadena Freeway
Haiti is on the minds of everyone these days. The human suffering and devastation is one of the worst that any country has faced.
Over the weekend in Los Angeles, JDI crew has painted a "Save Haiti" piece highly visible from the West Los Angeles freeway. They wanted to remind the millions of daily commuters on the freeway system about Haiti. They unselfishly put the message first without seeking fame for their crew. You can barely see the JDI Kids "signature" on the piece. (see more pictures of the JDI Save Haiti piece)
It comes as a complete surprise that someone would paint over such a positive message. You be the judge... Save Haiti Dissed - Vesil Krest DME
A few months ago, I started noticing cats showing up all over the Los Angeles freeways. The city buffed them and more cats showed up. We are not sure what graffiti artist is behind these. The cats are showing up in really difficult spots like freeway dividers.
Whoever is painting them has the right mix for an LA graffiti artist: creativity and balls of steel. Much props!
There is a rumor started and confirmed by me that there is a video of the making of the Save Haiti piece. Stay tuned...Update:Save Haiti by the JDI crew Video The infamous West Los Angeles freeway graffiti spot is once again owned by the JDI crew. (see previous pieces) JDI crew continues to push the limits and creativity in Los Angeles graffiti.
Many have the opinion that graffiti in Los Angeles lost its true creativity. JDI crew defintely proves them wrong. With their original characters and unique styles they push the boundaries of LA graffiti.
This piece was done by Duart, Jaw, Otis and Hand referring to the current crisis in Haiti. The millions of commuters on the 10 freeway will be reminded to contribute to the cause. Save Haiti!
Before you can run you have to know how to walk. Before you can do a throw up, you have to know how to do a tag. Before you can do a piece you have to know how to do a throw up.
Today, I am showing the basics of it all, TAGS!
Not any tags, Los Angeles tags on the freeways. These were taken between 2008-2010. Script KI - Downtown Los Angeles
